What are we looking for?

We are looking for a data-driven brand marketer to lead marketing for our streaming channels as Head of Marketing, Streaming. The ideal candidate has experience developing high-level relationships with key internal and external business partners, a close connection to creative and production, and a proven track record of operational acumen. Ideally, this will all contribute to a deep understanding of how to grow a consumer brand in a highly competitive environment. Working across the global portfolio of Tastemade streaming channels, this person will use a data-centric approach to define the right customers and make them into Tastemade viewers through innovative marketing strategies and campaigns. This role will report to the General Manager, Streaming, Evan Bregman. It is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing marketing department at a fast-paced media and entertainment company, in an area of the entertainment industry experiencing rapid growth.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Define high-level marketing strategy and consumer journey. Set clear, measurable objectives, identify specific audience targets and set positioning and engagement strategies for our four streaming channels: Food, Travel, Home and Español
  • Contribute to programming strategy to ensure we’re making the right content for the right people at the right time, working closely with the Head of Programming and GM
  • Collaborate with the Head of Content, Social, to create engaging social media campaigns leveraging organic and paid channels
  • Contribute to talent and casting strategy,  providing focus to the Talent team in their search for the on-camera casting that best speaks to our desired audience
  • Gather, analyze and apply relevant customer insights and data in collaboration with the Sr. Research Director to help define effective and innovative strategic marketing and programming approaches
  • Own the streaming marketing budget, translating strategies into detailed budget and resource plans, in close collaboration with the GM and Finance team
  • Create measurement framework that ties campaign performance to high level strategy, channel performance and financial results
  • Lead ideation and execution of highly creative campaigns that are on brand, on budget, and measurably successful
  • Write creative briefs and communicate campaign specifics across the company and to senior executives, with a focus on measurable results
  • Oversee creative development for campaigns,  including asset toolkits, trailers, promos, sizzle reels, key art, social content and more, optimizing existing workflows and developing new ones.
  • Build and foster a small, execution-focused team who can coordinate the successful delivery of campaigns and report on key metrics
  • Develop meaningful relationships with senior marketing leaders at key partner companies, including Samsung, Google, Amazon, Roku, Vizio, and more. Represent Tastemade as a thought  leader in marketing streaming channels.
  • Identify key marketing beats important to our partners, and ideate campaigns that leverage these moments to position Tastemade as a must-see destination for audiences on each platform
  • Create and continually update materials to be shared internally and externally telling the story of our channels, who our audience is, and why audiences want to watch us
  • Own relationships with any outside vendors, media agencies, creative partners.
  • Communicate campaign results and learnings to senior management and company-wide

What you’ll bring:

  • 7-10 years of partner marketing, consumer & B2B marketing, brand strategy and creative development, and campaign management experience at an entertainment network/studio, media company, or agency.
  • Proven entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to identify and prioritize key projects, identify challenges, develop action plans and execute. Excellent at navigating ambiguity and providing focus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of domestic and international television landscape, with a strong focus on FAST and vMVPDs and key players.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative campaign creative that drives a brand forward.
  • Operational acumen. Experience running marketing campaign workflows, prioritizing overlapping projects/requests, developing timelines and asset management workflows
  • Familiarity with structure of distribution licenses across linear TV, mobile, digital, OTT
  • Experience creating effective metrics and KPIs. Strong ability to analyze data and apply it to strategy and tactical planning.
  • Experience navigating, defining, and justifying complex brand architecture.
  • Experience successfully building and managing a dynamic and effective team focused on execution.
  • Experience launching global linear TV channels a plus
  • A strong passion for Food, Travel, Home & Design is a plus.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Engage and pitch prospective Makers on the launch, marketing, and success strategies of their subscription and experiences offering 
  • Directly connect prospective Makers’ goals and pain-points with our offering to demonstrate a fit where applicable
  • Leverage the tools necessary to help Makers prioritize and accelerate the launch of their subscription packages and experience
  • Work cross functionally with Product, Marketing, and Recruitment teams to ensure a steady flow of Makers to the platform, relay product feedback, and ensure overall health of the platform
  • Track activities and success in company tools to report on progress towards monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Assist in prospecting Makers when deemed necessary

What you’ll bring:

  • You possess 3-5 years of sales, customer success, talent recruiting, or deal-making experience at a talent agency, social media company, creator technology platform, or a content production studio. Influencer / creator economy experience is a plus.
  • You are an expert at identifying client pain-points and can easily translate solutions to these obstacles on the spot with confidence and empathy
  • You are a closer. You have a deep knowledge and understanding of how to negotiate and seal a deal   
  • You have experience ramping up/training while delivering on deadlines.  
  • You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and are highly empathic with a desire to help Makers reach their goals
  • You know how to communicate different to talent, representatives, partners, peers, and direct reports and can context switch quickly and fluently
  • You have an intimate understanding of education & learning, pop culture, internet culture, creator economy, cultural shifts, and the technology platforms competing for market share.

We are seeking a HR Operations Manager to join our growing team! The HR Operations Manager will work directly with the Head of People Operations as well as Brazil and Argentina teams, to serve as a sounding board to employees and leadership on the appropriate interpretation and application of HR policies, processes and practices in Brazil and Argentina. The person in this role has the ability to take ambiguous situations and provide clarity. They work cross-functionally with key stakeholders and are the main point of contact for HR related questions and business issues in Brazil and Argentina; including but not limited to HR policies, processes, practices, administration, compliance, employee and labor relations, safety and health, performance management, leadership advisement, and operational effectiveness for Latin American teams.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage full scope HR support for Brazilian and Argentinian policies, procedures, practices, including but not limited to administration, compliance, employee and labor relations, safety and health, performance management, leadership advisement, full time and contingent workforce management, employee vacation/leave, office management and objectives specific to improving operational effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of competency and commitment to HR best practices and employment laws, and remain current on local employment laws and compliance in Brazil and Argentina 
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvements to HR programs and processes to drive efficiencies and enhance the employee experience
  • Write, review and update policies, guidance documents, tools, and employee-facing documentation in Spanish and Portuguese to ensure seamless translation of information across our global teams.  
  • Serve as a point of contact to team members, answering questions and helping employees navigate all aspects of People Operations in Brazil and Argentina, including topics such as, compensation, payroll, benefits, work/life, employee perks, company policies, etc.
  • Advise individuals and managers on employee relation activity such as probations, performance improvement plans, maternity/paternity leave, other business matters.
  • Understand employee opinions and experiences; provide a point of view and anticipate needs and address concerns proactively
  • Contribute to Latin America People Operations projects and initiatives with both culture and HR objectives in mind
  • Support diversity and inclusion, corporate social responsibility and other HR operational projects as identified for your designated teams.
  • Support the Head of People Operations as needed on daily tasks, special projects, administration and programs

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant HR experience in Brazil and Argentina markets
  • English, Spanish, and Portuguese written and verbal language skills a must
  • Experience in a startup environment a plus 
  • Experience at a global company a plus 
  • Google Suite, MS Suite, and other technology platform tools proficiency 
  • Experienced in People Operations administration, operations, onboarding/offboarding management, compliance, employee relations, performance management, employment laws and general HR program/operations in Brazil and Argentina.

A successful candidate will have experience in content-centric businesses that monetize via advertising or subscription, developing various partnerships, and negotiating and closing agreements, and working across multi-functional teams. They’ll work hand-in-hand in selling Tastemade to leaders at various companies, collaborate with legal to drive those deals to the conclusion, and then bring these partnerships to life.

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in digital media, content-centric businesses that monetize via advertising or subscription, developing and managing various partnerships, negotiating and closing agreements, and working across multi-functional teams. 
  • Great sellers who can pitch and close deals and then synthesize key deal points while negotiating agreements.
  • Strong data and analytics mindset to ensure partnerships are managed to hit and exceed specific KPI’s.

  • Client point of contact for all post-sale campaign management including, but not limited to, client handling, asset and tag delivery, internal resource scheduling, setting KPI benchmarks, recommending optimizations, monitoring performance, billing and delivery questions and overall responsibility for timely launch of all client deliverables
  • Develop understanding of internal sales process, as well as competitors and marketplace conditions
  • Utilize inventory guides to ensure accurate usage of available media inventory and proper booking of fixed placements
  • Assist Sales team with research discovery and data pulls, used to strengthen campaign recommendations

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Acquisitions and Content Strategy Director to join the Programming Team for Tastemade’s streaming networks.  This person will report to the Head of Programming and be responsible for acquiring and licensing film and television content from around the world to air on our global lifestyle networks across linear and VOD.

The successful candidate will have shrewd deal-making skills, an impeccable eye for content, a passion for unscripted programming, and the ability to develop cohesive content acquisition strategies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead all aspects of acquisition and licensing for Tastemade Streaming Network channels, including deal sourcing, analysis, term sheet drafting, long-form review, contract negotiation, closing, and partner onboarding. 
  • Work closely with the Head of Programming and other stakeholders to develop a content strategy across acquisitions and originals that supports growth, and exceeds ratings goals. 
  • Track competitive acquisitions, production and development activity and communicate status to network stakeholders.
  • Attend industry events, festivals and markets, virtually or in person.  Be the representative of Tastemade as a buyer of content across distributors, festival programmers, sales agents and independent creators.  
  • Bring in potential projects for acquisitions through pitches or submissions from outside companies, and identify acquisition opportunities from non-standard sources (i.e. YouTube)
  • Assist with reviewing and noting acquired shows to align with Network creative and runtime standards. 
  • Ensure that all internal stakeholders are aware of incoming programming, contractual and financial obligations.

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in the entertainment industry in either sales, licensing or acquisitions. 
  • Familiarity with FAST, AVOD, SVOD and the general TV distribution & rights landscape, with an ability to craft deals around all of them. 
  • A history of identifying and acquiring high-performing programming at a network or streaming service. 
  • Ability to self-manage a pipeline of content deals, from sourcing to signature.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
